Hi, Fun story. I can often show people what projects I’m currently working on, especially the color palette, by holding up my hands. There it all is, under my fingernails. I can’t help but think when I shake hands with people who have super soft skin, “Do you ever do anything with those hands, like clean, or fix things?” Along with dirty fingernails, I have skin akin to about a 60-grit sandpaper. But then there’s the grooming issue–I’ve been following a certain well-known blogger for a while and always wondered how someone so consumed with how a living space looks could apparently not care about one’s personal appearance (except I know it’s a hipster thing, like the more money you have, the more faded and torn your clothing…)
I can also relate to socks in the hotel, something my mother always insisted on. I can’t give it up. The more I read about issues with hotels, the more convinced I am that you and I are right. Been known to do a little wipe down of the bathroom, too. Kinda odd juxtaposition with the dirty fingernail thing.
I can understand your feelings about cabs, too. I tend to avoid them. You’re quite the seasoned traveler now.viajes a baja california sur
