Thanks for using Honeyfund.
How can we help you today?
If your credit card transaction is not being accepted, try the following:
1. Make sure your billing address is exactly as it appears on your credit card bill. You must include the entire street address (i.e., include "Road", "Place", "Street", etc.)
2. Try a different credit card.
3. Try an e-mail address not associated with a PayPal account.
If this doesn't work it's likely that PayPal's security algorithms are rejecting the transaction. They admit they sometimes reject valid credit cards and they can't do anything about it. In this case we suggest the you change your payment method and simply pay the couple directly by cash or check. To do this follow the link in your Honeyfund gift selection e-mail.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
If you had trouble reaching the credit card payment form, you can get back via the link in your Honeyfund gift selection e-mail. If you continue to have trouble, try again from a different browser or computer.
Honeyfund payments: Check your e-mail for a receipt from us.
PayPal payments: Check your e-mail for a separate payment confirmation from PayPal. If you logged into your PayPal account when you made your payment, you can see the payment in your account History. If you do not have a PayPal account and simply paid with your credit card, you will see the charge(s) in your online credit card activity or paper bill.
If you do not see a charge nor have a PayPal receipt, please try your payment again. Just click the link in your Honeyfund gift selection e-mail, then click the Pay Now button.
If you didn't see a credit card payment option, it's because the couple did not enable online payments. We give couples the choice because online payments incur a fee. You can pay simply and free of charge by sending the couple a check in the mail or presenting cash/check to the them in person along with your Honeyfund gift certificate.
To get back to your gift certificate, click the link in your gift selection e-mail from Honeyfund. If you did not receive this e-mail, please check your spam folder. If it's not there, and it's been more than one hour since you selected your gift, contact us.
WePay payments: Check your e-mail account for an e-mail from Honeyfund containing your WePay receipt.
If you do not see a charge on your card nor have a receipt, please try your payment again.
To get back to your gift certificate, click the link in your gift selection e-mail from Honeyfund. If you did not receive this e-mail, please check your spam folder. If it's not there, and it's been more than one hour since you selected your gift, click "contact us" below.
If you've already paid for your gift, the funds have been sent to the couple directly and Honeyfund cannot change or refund the payment. You should contact the couple to make arrangements.
If you haven't paid for your gift, please check your e-mail for the gift confirmation. It contains a link back to your gift where you can change or cancel your gift pledge.
Please contact us and include the gift items and total amount you intended.
If you are seeing just a grey bar, please right click and select "Play." Otherwise, you likely need to either disable a flash blocker or popup blocker in your browser, or update your Flash Player which you can do at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
When you reserve a gift, the couple will be able to see your gift pledge in their Honeyfund account immediately.
If you choose to pay offline then you can control when you actually give them the gift certificate and gift payment. If you pay online, the funds will be available to them immediately in their payment account.
When you reserve the gift, choose to pay offline (cash or check) and use the name "Anonymous." You can change the name on the certificate before printing. Then you can print the certificate and give it to them at your chosen time.
Yes! Since what you are giving them is a money toward their honeymoon fund, you can still contribute even if they already left. They will use the funds as a reimbursement for the cost of the item you selected.
Here is how Honeyfund works:
Take a look at some of our Sample Registries for ideas on how to create your Honeyfund.
You can also get more info about how this all works by viewing our Tour
Honeyfund is totally free! There are no transaction fees for couples or gift givers and no setup fees. This is possible because gift givers are directed to send the money to YOU, by cash or check. We don't handle any gift money here at Honeyfund.
In addition to the free service:
1. We offer upgrade packages including your choice of design templates, photo slideshows, photos next to your registry items, and more. Packages start at just $19.99.
2. You may accept online payments from your gift givers via our integrated credit card solution powered by WePay (US only), or via your own PayPal account.
You can accept credit card payments with both free and upgraded Honeyfund accounts. Honeyfund couples who accept both offline and online payments pay average fees of just 1.8%! Guests never pay a fee.
For more info about how Honeyfund works, see our Tour.

We designed Honeyfund to protect your registry until you are ready for guests to find it. When your registry is ready, you must publish it, which then makes it available via the Give A Gift search. When you click Publish, you'll see instructions for publishing your honeymoon registry.
To create your Honeyfund web address and make your page available to your guests in the search, you'll need to publish the page. To do this, click the Publish tab in your account and follow the instructions. Note you may need to dismiss the upgrade message or complete required account setup steps before the publish form will be available.
You can still change everything about your registry even after publishing. However you can't change your personal website address in your Honeyfund account. To do that, please click "contact us" below.
You can download a pdf of printable registry cards in your account. Just go to Publish > Print Cards.
There you will find other tools for spreading the word, including web links, Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.

Here's how it works:
Setup your Payment Settings now. Honeyfund couples who accept both offline and online payments pay average fees of just 1.8%! Guests never pay a fee.
If you choose to accept online payments through PayPal, you will need a Premier or Business-type account, and will receive the money directly into your PayPal account. Then you will then need to use one of their withdrawal methods to retrieve the money. There is no fee to the gift giver for paying online. However PayPal will deduct 2.9% + $0.30/transaction from each gift (US, see paypal.com for other countries).
To link your Premier or Business PayPal account to your honeyfund account, go to Edit your Honeyfund > Settings > Payment Settings. Check the Credit Card via PayPal box and then enter the e-mail address of your PayPal account. Save the page and you will receive further instructions via e-mail.
To link your Premier or Business PayPal account to your Honeyfund account, go to Edit your Honeyfund> Account Settings > Payment Settings. Check the Credit Card via PayPal box and then enter the e-mail address of your PayPal account. Save the page and you will receive further instructions via e-mail.
On your Payment Settings page (Edit > Account Settings > Payment Settings) you should see the PayPal option checked on. If you see the text "Awaiting Verification" then you still need to verify the e-mail address. This is a verification for us at Honeyfund to make sure you've given us a valid e-mail address for your payments. To activate your PayPal payment method, follow the instructions below:
If you are receiving the message "PayPal account set up incomplete," please follow the steps on our PayPal Setup Guide, especially steps 2-3. Most likely your e-mail address or bank account has not been confirmed in your PayPal account. Once that's done, you can click through our verification e-mail once again and click "Check my PayPal account" to enable the PayPal payment method.
The information we send regarding setting up your PayPal account pertains to Premier and Business type accounts. If you have a Personal account you will need to upgrade to Premier.
Even in Premier or Business accounts some of the PayPal payment receiving preferences and settings may not be available until you have verified all your account information and lifted any receiving limits. There should be a "to do" list when you login to PayPal on your overview page. Specifically make sure all the e-mail addresses associated with your account are verified, your bank info is set up and your withdrawal and receiving limits are lifted.
On your Payment Settings page (Edit> Account Settings > Payment Settings) you should see the PayPal option checked on. If you see the text "Awaiting Verification" then you still need to verify the e-mail address. This is a verification for us at Honeyfund to make sure you've given us a valid e-mail address for your payments. To activate your PayPal payment method, follow the instructions below:
PayPal accepts international payments on a country by country basis. There is an additional 1% fee for cross-border payments. Please visit PayPal's website to check specific countries pertinent to you.
The 21-day hold program was recently developed by PayPal. It is placed on some newer Premier or Business accounts, according to PayPal's anti-fraud policies. We have a special arrangement with PayPal whereby all Honeyfund gifts are exempted from this program.
If you are having trouble accessing the Honeyfund gift funds in your PayPal account please Contact Us.
PayPal charges 2.9% + $0.30 for each transaction, deducted from your gift amount. There is an additional 1% cross-border fee if the payment comes from outside your home country.
Most US transactions via PayPal qualify for Honeyfund's special rate of 2.85% + $0.30. In order to pass on this reduced rate, Honeyfund must collect and pay the PayPal fee on your behalf. As such the PayPal fee will appear as a payment to Honeyfund.
First, see which payment option your gift giver selected on the Gifts Received page. If it was a PayPal purchase, login to your PayPal account and click the History tab to search for the transaction. If you don't see the transaction in your PayPal account, it means the gift giver failed to complete the payment process on PayPal's website. You can generate a reminder e-mail from Honeyfund by clicking the gift on the Gifts Received page and clicking send reminder? Then follow the instructions.
What to do if your PayPal e-mail address was wrong
The e-mail address you enter in your Honeyfund payment settings is where your gift money is sent when a gift giver pays online. If there was a mistake and the e-mail address you gave Honeyfund is NOT the e-mail address on your PayPal account, here's what you can do:
You can view the gift certificates containing messages from your gift givers, if the gift giver paid online or via a custom payment method. To view a certificate, first mark the pledge as "payment received" on your Gifts Received page, by entering the date you got the payment. Then save the gift and it will move down to the "Gifts" section and you'll see a certificate link.
Gift givers who paid via cash/check should have presented you with their printed certificate containing their message.
Since your gift items are editable, sometimes the "remaining" quantities get inadvertently changed in the course of editing your account. You can simply correct each item by subtracting the quantity purchased (on your Gifts Received page) from the original quantity requested to arrive at the quantity remaining.
From time to time couples will see a bogus gift pledge show up in their account. Usually it's someone who wants to find out how Honeyfund works. They'll type in a name in the search and then make a bogus pledge. To cancel the pledge, delete the gift from your Gifts Received page by clicking the "remove" check box and then Remove Items. The item(s) will automatically be added back to your registry.
You can delete the duplicate gift from the Gifts Received page by checking the remove box and clicking "Remove Items." The item(s) will automatically be added back to your registry.
If you are missing a payment and want to send a reminder to your gift giver, you can generate a tasteful reminder e-mail from Honeyfund by clicking the gift on your Gifts Received page. Then click "send reminder?" and follow the instructions. Note: Cash/check payment reminders are available after the wedding.
To retrieve your online gift payments from WePay, please login to your WePay account and click the Withdraw tab. There you can withdraw electronically to your bank account or get a paper check mailed to you.
To retrieve your online gift payments from PayPal, please login to your PayPal account and click the Withdrawal tab. There you will find several options for withdrawing your money.
If your gifts were pledged via cash or check, you should have gotten the payments directly from the gift givers. They should have literally mailed the gift to your house (or the address you provided in your Honeyfund account), or handed it to you at the shower, wedding or otherwise in person.
You can see each gift pledge and its payment method on the Gifts Received page.
You can generate a reminder e-mail from Honeyfund by clicking the gift on the Gifts Received page and clicking "send reminder?" Then follow the instructions.
To track your gift payments, first visit your Gifts Received page. When you get a payment from a gift giver, either into your PayPal account or offline via cash or check, mark the pledge as "received" by clicking the "Got Payment?" section and then enter the date you got the payment. The pledge will then move down to the "gifts" section.
In some cases we receive data back from PayPal and can automatically update the gift received date for you. However you should still track each payment.
In addition to the free service:
We currently support residents and currencies of the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe. If you don't live in one of those countries and want to use Honeyfund, please click "Contact Us" below.
If you need to change your currency, please login to your account and visit Edit > Settings > Payment Settings.
For security purposes we keep your password info in an encrypted form, so we aren't able to send that to you. However if you click the "Get Help" link on the Sign In page you can enter your e-mail address that will give you instructions for resetting your password. Click the check box next to "Remember me on this computer" when you sign in, so you won't have to re-enter your password again.
Your Honeyfund account will be disabled if your e-mail address is invalid or if it was not confirmed within eight weeks of opening the account. Accounts can also be closed on the Edit > Profile tab, or if it has been more than one year since your wedding date. Please click "contact us" below to reinstate the account.
