Hey everyone, thanks for tuning in to #WeddingWednesday! We are excited to be back after a great Thanksgiving. Today we enjoyed a holiday-inspired signature cocktail, a really creative DIY project and some fantastic holiday deals to help you save on wedding essentials!
Signature Cocktail: Winter Sangria
This is such a fun signature cocktail for your winter wedding or party, and it’s easy to make in big batches ahead of time. The result is a beautiful color, perfect to add “pop” to your event. We love the idea of having the sangria in pitchers on each table to add color to your tablescape. This cocktail can easily be modified to non-alcoholic punch.
Delicious Winter Sangria brings a beautiful pop of color to a winter wedding.
Ingredients:
- Pinot grigio
- Cranberry juice
- Plain seltzer water (or Sprite for non alcoholic sangria)
- Seasonal fruit: apples, pears, cranberries, oranges
Directions:
- Cut fruit into bite size pieces
- Pour pinot grigio, cranberry juice & seltzer/Sprite into pitcher
- Add fruit
- Mix
- Pour into individual glasses
- CHEERS!
DIY Wedding Card Keepsake Frame
All brides are faced with the dilemma of what to do with all those beautiful and sentimental cards they receive for their engagement, shower and wedding–this DIY project is the sweetest way to save and display them. This would also be a great way to showcase your cards from baby showers in a nursery, it would also make a thoughtful gift for a newlywed or a new mom.
Use a shape punch and your favorite wedding cards to make this cute keepsake.
Supplies
- Your favorite or most special cards
- Hexagon (or any shape) paper punch
- Glue/glue dots
- Cardstock
- Frame
Instructions:
- Choose which parts of your cards you’d like to use, cut them out with the punch
- Arrange them on card stock
- Glue them in place
- Put into frame
- Admire your work and enjoy this keepsake!
