Getting married in July 2017 after being together for 21 years (since we were almost 13 years old). We would love to win this prize. We met on the school bus. It’s been a heck of a year 2 strokes one that left me unable to speak and two brain surgeries and one disgnosis of Moyamoya and were getting married in April!

Getting married to my soul mate since 7th grade on 03/24/17. Due to finances we are limited to honeymoon ideas from the wedding costing more than intended. We already got married……….but never had a Honeymoon ! 40 year ago on January 15th 1977! And it feels like yesterday….we are best friends, parents, grandparents and still in LOVE!

We had a ring ceremony in 2004 on the anniversary we had always celebrated. We finally got a “common law” marriage license on 1/13/2017. So why did we wait so long? Because SCOTUS made us legal on June 26, 2015 and we wanted to be wed while a Democratic President, that cared about our right as first class citizens, was still in office. We were asked if we wanted to post date our wedding day but we couldn’t go all the way back to 3/26/2004 because it wasn’t legal yet so we chose 3/26/2016.
