Signing Up & and Creating a Private Label Account

How much does it cost? It's free!

Honeyfund's Private Label Registry program is completely free. In addition, Honeyfund's honeymoon registry and cash gift service is totally free to couples. There are no transaction fees for couples or gift givers and no setup fees. This is possible because gift givers are directed to send the money to the couple, by cash or check. We don't handle any gift money here at Honeyfund.

In addition to the free service, there are two upgrade options offered to couples:

1. Honeyfund Premium is a one-time charge of $39 USD. This includes a choice of design templates, a photo slideshow of the couple, photos next to the registry items, and no ads on the registry.

2. Credit card payments can be accepted using the couple's own business PayPal account. PayPal charges 2.9% + $0.30/transaction (US), the lowest rate we've found (see here for fee information for other currencies). This option is available with both Free and Premium Honeyfund accounts.

How does Honeyfund's Private Label Registry program work?

The Private Label Registry program allows you to create your own version of our fully-featured honeymoon and cash gift registry service, free! The pages are branded with your name and logo and you select a personalized website address to provide to your clients. Create your free account now.

How do I know that Honeyfund is safe for me and my clients?

Rest assured all personal info is safe and secure. Gift money travels directly from gift givers to the couple, we don't handle money here at Honeyfund. Honeyfund's secure servers keep private info safe, and personal info is never sold, rented or shared.

Honeyfund has also been awarded an A+ grade by Better Business Bureau's Online Reliability program.

Can I use Honeyfund's Private Label Registry program if my business is located outside the U.S.?

Yes! Honeyfund's Private Label Registry is available to businesses in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the U.K., the U.S and most of Europe. If you are located outside these countries and would like to use Honeyfund's Private Label Registry, please contact us.

Can I try the Honeyfund service?

Yes! Once you've set up your Private Label account, visit your website address and create a free registry account. This will allow you to see what the experience is like for your clients. Once your dummy registry is set up, you can even try the Give a Gift process. You can walk through step-by-step what your clients' guests will experience when they purchase a Honeyfund gift.

I created a Honeyfund Private Label account, how do I direct my clients to it?

We designed Honeyfund to protect your account until you are ready for clients to find it. When your account is ready, you must publish it, which then creates a website address for you to give your clients. Sign in to your account and scroll to the bottom of the page to publish.

I need help confirming my Private Label account

To resend your confirmation link, please visit the Update Profile page, re-enter your e-mail address and save the page. Then check your e-mail and follow the link to confirm your account.

How can I see who is using my Private Label Registry?

You can view reports including the clients using your Private Label registry as well as funds they've raised in your Private Label Pro account. To upgrade to Pro, just click the reports tab and follow the Upgrade link.

What is Private Label Pro and how much is it?

Private Label Pro is a low-cost, professional private label account that allows you to set up unlimited sample registries/itineraries for use by your clients. You also get reports listing who is using your Private Label registry and how much they've raised. Click here for pricing information and to upgrade.

How can I close my account?

Please contact us to close a Private Label Registry account.

Gift Giving

What payment options are available for my clients' gift givers?

There are currently four payment options your clients can choose from: Check, Cash, Credit Card via PayPal, and a custom payment option which allows your clients to provide custom instructions to gift givers. Your clients can edit these in their accounts under Edit > Settings > Payment Settings. If they have more than one payment option enabled, guests will be able to choose from those options when they select a gift.

Someone purchased a gift from my client's registry but they haven't received payment. Why?

First, direct your client to their Gifts Received page. If it was a PayPal payment, they should login to their PayPal account and click the History tab to search for the transaction. If they don't see the transaction in their PayPal account, it's likely the gift giver failed to complete the payment process on PayPal's website.

If it was an offline payment (cash or check), they should expect to see that in the mail or receive it in person from their gift giver.

For any type of gift, they can send a tasteful reminder e-mail to the gift giver, from Honeyfund, by clicking the gift on the Gifts Received page, then clicking "send reminder."

My client says PayPal won't accept their guest's credit card payment. What should I do?

According to PayPal, there are several reasons why they will deny a credit card transaction:

  1. The credit card company could be denying the purchase.
  2. The address provided may not match the credit card billing address.
  3. The credit card company's processor is down.
  4. PayPal's statistical analysis determined the transaction was high risk and automatically denied it.

They recommend if a card is declined to try the transaction again later. The gift giver can revisit the PayPal page by clicking the link in their Honeyfund Gift Confirmation e-mail. If the credit card still doesn't go through, they can e-mail or call PayPal at 1-888-221-1161 (say "Agent") and ask the representative to look up the transaction attempt and tell them why it was declined. They will ask for the e-mail address used when attempting the transaction.

If all else fails, they can either mail a check directly to the couple or bring cash or check to the wedding with their gift certificate. To change payment method to cash or check, they can click the link in the gift confirmation e-mail, then click the blue Change Payment Method button. Contact us for further assistance.
