  3. How do I know that Honeyfund is safe for me and my guests?

    With more than 12 years in the online gift industry, we know how to protect you and your guests. Whether you’re receiving money via one of our trusted payment partners (Wepay/Chase or PayPal) or via the Honeyfund Balance, Honeyfund's PCI compliant and secure technology keeps your private info safe. Personal info is never sold, rented or shared.

    Honeyfund has maintained an A+ grade by the Better Business Bureau since inception.

  4. What countries does Honeyfund support?

    Honeyfund is available to residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the U.K., the U.S., Mexico, and most of Europe, as well as most of Latin America. If you live outside these countries and would like to use Honeyfund, please contact us.

  5. Can I see Honeyfund's purchase process (what my guests will see)?

    Yes! Please create a free account and then you can try the Give a Gift process from your published registry page. You can walk through step-by-step what your guests will experience when they purchase a Honeyfund gift.

    Note: If you've linked a PayPal account, be sure to use a credit card and e-mail address not associated with your linked PayPal account. PayPal does not allow you to pay yourself.

  6. I created a Honeyfund account and set up my registry, why doesn't it show up in the search results?

    Make sure your registry is published, which then makes it available via the Give a Gift search. Click here to publish your Honeyfund and follow the instructions.

  7. How do I "unpublish" my registry to remove it from public access?

    If you'd like to unpublish your registry to remove it from public access, or reset your Honeyfund web address and hashtag, click here, scroll to the bottom of the page, click "Reset hashtag & honeyfund address (URL)" and follow the instructions.

    We can also exclude your page from search engine crawling, just visit your privacy settings.

  8. Why has my account been disabled?

    Your Honeyfund account will be disabled if your e-mail address is invalid or if it was not confirmed within eight weeks of opening the account. Accounts also close automatically one year after your wedding date.

    Or you may have closed your account on the Account Settings tab.

    If you wish to reinstate your account, simply Sign In or contact us.

  9. How can I close my account?

    Wedding over, thank you notes sent and ready to start married life? You can simply unpublish your page and keep your account available to just you, as long as you wish.

In fact, if you take a moment to let us now how to make Honeyfund work for you, we'll gladly upgrade your account to our Elite package for free, AND do our best to fix the issue. Receiving Gifts & Payments

  1. How do wedding guests pay? / What are the payment options?

    You can receive money one of three ways, which you choose at sign up:

    • GIFT CARDS & HONEYFUND BALANCE
    • Register for popular gift cards or set your entire account to redeem all funds received via gift cards (Honeyfund Balance), with zero fees to give or receive. Givers pay by credit or debit card. Check out our full list of digital gift card partners or choose Honeyfund Balance now.

    • BANK ACCOUNT DEPOSITS
    • Get online payments automatically deposited into your bank account via your choice of WePay (Chase) or PayPal for 2.8% + $0.30* per transaction. Givers pay by credit or debit card.

  2. How do I register for gift cards through Honeyfund?

    You can now register for gift cards from popular travel, dining and retail brands right on your honeyfund! Any and all gift cards you receive are free to give and receive.

  3. How do I get my gift money?

    Here are simple instructions for getting your gift money for each available payment option:

    • GIFT CARDS & HONEYFUND BALANCE
    • Visit the Gifts Received page to redeem any available Gift Cards or Honeyfund Balance funds. NOTE: This option is NOT redeemable for cash, and Honeyfund Balance funds never expire.

    • WEPAY (CHASE)
    • WePay (Chase) payments are automatically deposited into your bank account. If you haven't received payments, you may need to add your bank account in your WePay (Chase) account. Follow the instructions for claiming your WePay (Chase) account sent to the e-mail on your Honeyfund account or Contact Us.

    • PAYPAL
    • To withdraw gift payments from PayPal, please login to your PayPal account and click the Withdraw tab. There you will find several options for withdrawing your money. If you forgot your login e-mail address, you can find it in your Honeyfund Payment Settings.

    • CASH OR CHECK
    • If your gifts were pledged via cash or check, you should have received the payments directly from your gift givers (e.g. in the mail to the address you provided in your Honeyfund account, or at the shower, wedding or otherwise in person).

  4. I redeemed my Gift Card Funds or Honeyfund Balance for a partner brand, but now I changed my mind. Can I cancel and choose another partner brand?

    Once you've redeemed gift card funds for a partner brand, it cannot be canceled. The partner gift card can be used with that partner company per the terms of their gift card program. If you have questions, please Contact Us.

  5. Can I transfer my Honeyfund Balance funds to WePay?

    Once your gifts are given via the Honeyfund Balance, they cannot be transferred to WePay. If you need help redeeming your funds, please Contact Us.

  6. Why was I charged a transaction fee?

    In addition to Honeyfund's free Honeyfund Balance, gift cards and offline payment options, we make it possible to receive funds to your bank account for a fee of 2.8% + $0.30. Here are the complete fee details:

    • WEPAY (CHASE)
    • Payments paid to your bank account via WePay (Chase) incur one simple fee of 2.8% + $0.30.

    • PAYPAL
    • Most US-to-US transactions incur a rate of 2.8% + $0.30. Fees outside the US may vary. Click here for full fee info. Payments from outside your home country may incur an additional 1% cross-border fee.

  7. Someone gave us a gift but I don't see it in my account. Why?

    Some gifts do not show up on your Gifts Received page immediately. There may be up to a two hour delay to allow the giver time to make changes before the gift pledge is revealed to you in your account.

    However, WePay (Chase) and PayPal payments should show up immediately. If not, please Contact Us.

  8. Someone gave a gift from my registry but I haven't received payment. Why?

    With Honeyfund, guests select a gift, and then pay according to the options you provided. Gifts are displayed on the Gifts Received page, where you can see how each gift was paid when you open the gift.

    If you get payment for a "pledge" from a gift giver who paid offline, you can mark the gift as "received" by entering the date you got the payment.

  9. I linked the wrong PayPal account. How do I change it?

    Visit the Payment Settings page to remove your existing PayPal account so you can link a new one.

    Note: The PayPal account linked at the time of the gift is where the money is sent for that gift. Past gifts will not change when you change your payment settings.

  10. How do I add or remove payment options for my guests?

    Edit your payment settings here. If you have more than one payment option enabled, your guests will be able to choose from those options when they select your gift.

  11. Someone purchased a gift from my registry that I don't recognize. How do I contact the gift giver?

    Contact us and we will contact the gift giver on your behalf to verify the gift was intended for you.

  12. Will I be required to pay taxes on my gift money?

    We are not aware of couples paying taxes on their wedding gifts. However we recommend you talk to a licensed tax professional whenever you have tax questions.

    Although this does not apply to most of our users, we recommend you check PayPal's site regarding the federal reporting conducted by them.

  13. How do I issue a credit card refund?

    If a giver requests a refund for their payment, Contact us.

Giving a Gift

  1. I purchased a Honeyfund gift but didn't print the certificate. How do I get back to the certificate page?

    To get back to the certificate page, just click the link in your gift confirmation e-mail (check your spam folder if you didn't receive the e-mail). If you don't have it, you can recover it from the couple's registry. Select any gift, then enter your name and e-mail in the form exactly as you entered it the first time. We will automatically popup a message linking you to your existing gift.

  2. I purchased a gift from Honeyfund but I don't know if my payment went through. How do I verify my payment?

    There are two ways to pay for a Honeyfund gift; 1) Offline, where you print a certificate and give it to the couple with cash or check, or 2) Online via a third party payment processor. (Note: Honeyfund does not handle online payments, all payments are processed by a third party.)

    If you paid online, you should have received an e-mail receipt. Check your e-mail for the receipt and/or your credit card activity for the charge.

    If you aren't sure which payment method you chose, check your Honeyfund gift confirmation e-mail. There you will find either a receipt or payment instructions for the payment method you selected. If you don't have the e-mail, please check your spam folder or contact us and we will resend it to you.

  3. My credit card is not being accepted. What should I do?

    If your card is declined please try your transaction again, using a different credit card and/or e-mail address.

    If your payment still doesn't go through, we suggest you try your gift again and select the offline payment option. This way, you can send a check in the mail directly to the couple or bring cash or check to the wedding with your gift certificate.

  4. I gave a gift and now have changed my mind. How do I cancel my gift?

    If you have NOT paid for your gift, please click the link in your gift confirmation e-mail from Honeyfund. There you can cancel the gift pledge. If you don't have the e-mail, contact us and we can cancel the gift pledge for you.

    If you have already given the couple the funds, offline, we cannot cancel the gift payment. You will need to make arrangements directly with the couple to retrieve your funds.

  4. Can I cancel my Honeyfund Gift Card purchase or get a refund?

    Redeemed Honeyfund Gift Cards are non-cancellable. You may request a refund for an unredeemed card by Contacting Us.

  5. How can I pay when giving a Honeyfund Gift Card?

    Honeyfund Gift Cards can be purchased by Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit and debit cards. We do not accept American Express at this time.

  6. I redeemed my Honeyfund Gift Card for a partner brand, but now I changed my mind. Can I cancel and choose another partner brand?

  7. Why can't I see all the partner brands listed when redeeming my Honeyfund gift card?

    Once you enter your e-mail address to redeem your gift, you will be presented with all the partner brands that offer gift cards in the amount of your gift. Some partners have fixed gift card amounts. If those amounts do not match the amount of your Honeyfund gift card, the brand will not appear.
