Save Big During the Holidays

If you're engaged over the holiday season, you have some wonderful opportunities to save money on your wedding. From dresses to decorations, groom's gifts to engagement rings, here are some great ideas for saving big!

Store Holiday Sales

You'll find some incredible after-holiday markdowns on lighting, ribbon and other décor for your wedding at major home stores (think IKEA and Home Depot), fabric and crafts stores, and even your local drugstore. Look for materials you can use to make some of these items:

  • Ring pillow (fabric, beads, ribbon, etc)
  • Wedding veil (tulle, beads, etc)
  • Decorations (ribbons, silk flowers and petals, candles)
  • Invitations
  • Place cards and thank-you notes (blank white cards and envelopes)
  • Pew decorations (tulle, silk flowers, etc)

The holidays are one of the best times of year to buy off-the-rack dresses because department stores are stocked to the gills with dresses in all shapes and sizes. Think bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride.
