We wanted to share with you here, our story. While it may not be new to some of you, others may be delighted to get to know us more.

Aubrey and Dennis connected on March 8, 2017. Having conversations through text it didn't take long for either to desire to know the other on a more personal level. Their first date was on March 10, 2017 at Little Lamb Hot Pot in Plano. The two agreed very easily on where to meet, obviously over food! It was a dreary, cold Sunday after church, and Dennis was late. Instant karma, as Dennis entered the restaurant there happened to be a nice asian girl waiting for her group to also arrive, though Aubrey was already seated. When Dennis arrived at the table, he was blinking 90 miles per minute. Having just potentially experiencing a cat-fished situation, he was a little taken aback. To his luck, Aubrey in all of her beauty was there to save the day.

The two sat and made small talk about their adventures around the world, favorite food spots, and family. The time flew, and before they knew it they had been there for two hours. Both in agreement, that the day wasn't quite over decided to go get a drink (milk tea that is). Once arriving at Share Tea, the two continued the conversation over their drinks, as time stood still for the new found - soon to be love- the day grew dark, and it was time for the two to end their day. Aubrey having had the intention of getting groceries before making the 25 minute trek back to Dallas, Dennis the kind gentleman that he is offered to accompany her.

The first date was more like a whole day and lasted approximately 8 hours. Once the connection was made, the pair never strayed from each other. Having their second date and taking their first selfie, on a bike ride through the Katy Trail to see the sunset on the Margret Hunt-Hill bridge overlooking the Dallas skyline, they ordered Indian food for delivery on the way back to Aubrey's small East Dallas apartment. The next day the two agreed to meet for Italian food in Lewisville. A family restaurant Aubrey favored from her days living in Lubbock, Tx. However, this date wouldn't happen. Dennis sent Aubrey a text a lunch time to let her know he had just been in a car accident. Unsure of his true intentions, Aubrey was sad but understood. And just like that the -what could have been- became exactly that. Except Dennis was noble and had no intention of letting Aubrey, and the Royals (Layla and Wilson) slip away. Though his poor beloved and trusty steed - Acura, TL had been totaled, Dennis was able to make things right at the end of the week, and took Aubrey for a third date. They walked to their now favorite Dallas local Taco La Banqueta. This restaurant was not in the most outstanding neighborhood, and Dennis liked to tease Aubrey that she was trying to kidnap him. The pair made it safely back to Aubrey 's apartment, though walking in the dark in a very bad part of town.

The next day the pair would join friends Aaron and Hadiza at a Tulip Farm. Though this may have been their third date, the two had already become very close and merely inseparable. During the day date-Dennis was already making a plan to ensure that the day did not end at the flower farm. The two couples parted ways, and Aubrey and Dennis headed to downtown MCKinney where they had a slice of pie and enjoyed a short stroll around the town square. The very short but deep connection had been made. After taking a walk around the square, the two made their way to box seats at the Mavericks game. In the following weeks, Dennis asked Aubrey if he could kiss her, which she rejected, only just to be sure of his intentions of course.

And at this point the rest is history. Having traveled to San Francisco, New Mexico on a few occasions, meeting all the appropriate people in between (Julie, Emily, Katy, Natalie and Maggie Aubrey's best friends), Add in a camping trip, a few snow boarding trips with the most important people (Dennis' nieces Katie and Vivi - who most definitely approved of Prince Wilson, and Princess Layla) Having met Aubrey's parents and the whole rest of the gang at Christmas, and Aubrey meeting Dennis' Uncle and Aunt Wallee a short time after that. It would take another 2.5 years for Aubrey to meet Dennis Parents, but the wait was well worth it. Having Supported Aubrey through finishing her Masters, starting an internship in the middle and being a support through the chaos of life and loosing Prince Wilson, the two set off on an amazing adventure to Taiwan, Dennis' home.

In March of 2020 when things came to a screeching halt, there had already been talks of marriage and the future of their relationship. Any plans of proposing that Dennis might have had - went out the window. Fast forward to September 29, on a nice fall evening walk with the dogs, Dennis Aubrey to go for a breakfast date. Not knowing what he had planned Aubrey questioned the details about what they were to do, since the two had not returned to eating establishments at the time. Dennis ask if she would join him. In the wee hours of September 30th Dennis swept Aubrey away, making sly jokes about grabbing coffee at Panera Bread, and proposing inside; Aubrey would not have it and immediately told Dennis this would not be acceptable. Pulling into the parking lot, and not getting any coffee the two met up with a group of people. Getting into the truck with strangers, being driven to a park where a hot air balloon waited for them. A stark memory the pair has is a woman on the balloon tour ask if anyone had ever proposed on the balloon, obviously knowing the jig was up, Aubrey and Dennis chuckled. Aubrey not knowing when, but Dennis out of pure nerves. You see, he is afraid of heights. Shortly after, the pilot gave Dennis the que and he grabbed Aubreys hand, expressed his love-shocking everyone on the balloon, (mother and daughter celebrating a birthday, the older couple celebrating a belated wedding anniversary, and a few other young couples) and ask her to marry him over Lake Lavon.

We hope you enjoyed our story- or even if you made it this far, we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives growing closer together and of course the biggest day with each of you.
