Greetings!
Hello friends and family,
Jason & I got engaged September 2019. We knew we wanted a long engagement to enjoy the planning process and enjoy our engagement.
Little did we know we would get exactly what we wanted.
March 2020 came around & COVID 19 changed everything.
Our wedding of 200+ guests quickly went out the window. For the past few months, we have been in limbo.
How can we plan our wedding with so much uncertainty?
Many of us have limited outside contact.
We began to ponder what "number" of wedding guests would make us all comfortable.
Is it 150 guests? 100? Less than that?
How do we consolidate our guestlist when the people listed are our family members, our closest friends?
After many months of deliberation, we have decided that we are going to get married, with our immediate family only.
We both come from large families with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who we love very much.
We have decided that the best action is to not have a large wedding.
In having a large wedding, it would put everyone at risk because we selfishly want to be surrounded by our loved ones during a pandemic.
We wish things were different, that we could gather comfortably, with peace of mind.
But a party, even our own wedding, is not more important than the safety of our loved ones.
On May 1 2020 we will be getting married.
We plan to have another celebration in the future once things have gone back to "normal" so that we can celebrate with our loved ones.
Thank you all for understanding!
Love & Blessings,
Jason & Clarissa
