Greetings!

Arash and Tamara both grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and, despite being 4 years apart, attended the same high school. While sharing the same orbit for nearly 30 years, the two failed to meet until one faithful day in March 2017 two middle eastern mothers in the steam room of an athletic club in Cambridge decided to take matters into their own hands. All they did was share their children’s names and provide a gentle motherly nudge before letting fate and chemistry do the rest.

Arash sent a cute message to Tamara through LinkedIn (as T was not on Instagram or Facebook), and despite her reservations about the Fedora wearing guy from LinkedIn she agreed to a first date in the South End. Well, the first date went very well. The second date moved quickly and by the third date they were having far too much fun to stop. They enjoyed a summer of beaches, lobster rolls, motorcycle rides, and… helping pack Arash for his move back to Brooklyn in September, 2017 after 6 wonderful months together.

Arash was particularly romantic telling Tamara he loved her for the first time at 1am after she helped him move a mattress down four flights of stairs in Jamaica Plain. But that is when it was clear: they were doing distance. For two and half years, Tamara and Arash commuted between the South End (Boston) and Brooklyn to spend weekends together and falling more deeply in love.

They enjoyed their time in New York City attending shows, exploring new restaurants, and connecting with old and new friends. They did everything from partying until 4am in the Lower East Side to lazy beach days on Coney Island. They also met in countless cities across the country and abroad to see each other; from Iceland, to South East Asia, to Nashville to Big Sur.

After an engagement in The Hamptons in summer 2019, Arash committed to moving back to Boston. And, he did so just weeks before the global pandemic. After two years and 220 miles of distance, Arash and Tamara suddenly lived 24/7 together in less than 900sqft. It didn’t matter, they were loving it! Finally, they purchased a cottage in Cambridge and moved in September 2020, solidifying the commitment to their future and their new family.

Since the Pandemic has finally lifted, Tamara and Arash have decided to share their commitment to each other with those most close to them. If you wish to make a contribution to their wedding or honeymoon fund, please do so on the website. As everyone is aware, Tamara hates clutter and excessive things, so they would greatly appreciate the simplicity of a contribution to the site in lieu of ya know, a pasta maker.

It’s been a long trip, which included many exhausting drives on 95 and too many 6am Amtrak rides, but here we are this summer: finally ready more than ever to marry each other and start our lives together. We thank you all for coming to witness and celebrate our nuptials and being a part of the journey with us.

Love,

Tamara and Arash
