Dear Friends,

The virus has altered the plans for us too!

We worried and wondered : “just what should we do?”

A normal reception was not in the cards;

A good social distance, they say is two yards

We nixed that tradition; we’ll get on with our lives.

No duplicate gift like six sets of knives.

But if there’s a gift you feel prompted to send

A bank note is something we decide where to spend.

We hope that this verse does not cause offense

It’s just in this case, it makes much more sense.
