Greetings!

Aloha Family and Friends

We are getting married! This is recent news for those that know and this is also brand new news to many. Please don't take it personal. Sometimes life only gives us time to maintain what we are capable of and for us that is our relationship, work, Fuller's school, etc. It's very hard to keep everyone up to speed on our daily happenings, but we do carry all of you in our hearts!

Our Story

We have known of and respected each other for about 7 years, more as friends, never dated or even spoke that language. We started talking & texting over last summer because we ran into each other via Instagram, but it was super mellow. We didn't go on any dates for four months and we were very mindful of Fuller (Katie's 4-year old). When the time was right all three of us went on an adventure to the Bates Nut Farm pumpkin patch. This was our first date! From then on the whole dynamic of our trio has just been very easy... and now we find ourselves getting married on Saturday March 11th, or what we call "TREE-11". (Three-11, 03/11/2017). Of course this is the very short version of our tale, but we can fill you in with the rest in person. For now we want you to know that this is happening and everything about it feels so natural. All of our immediate family are very aware and support our union.

The Non-Wedding

For many well thought out reasons (sometimes "over" thought) we have decided to not have a wedding. Between the both of us we could easily have a TON of people celebrate with us. Most of you also know that family is the most important thing to both of us. But as mentioned above, the timing in our lives allows us just enough time to do what is most important, and that's get married. We do hope that down the road we will be able to plan a big food festival type celebration for everyone to share in. But for now, the ceremony will consist of the three of us, along with good friend Pastor Sumo Sato. We do need a witness so Diane, Sumo's wife will be there and of course we will have one photographer (our good friend Kai Diaz). This will all take place somewhere in Laguna Beach, the place where we got engaged.

The Cause

It was brought to our attention from a family member that some of you might want to contribute and be a part of this once in a lifetime moment. That is why this account was created. We were both unaware of these kinds of websites (because we have not been married before). So here it is. We have no big honeymoon plans (yet), but we are going to take Fuller to California Adventure after our wedding ceremony because we want him to have an amazing and memorable day as well. We are also moving into a new place together and are very excited about that! We've both gotten rid of most of our belongings and are going to start with a fresh canvas in regards to how we design the interior of our new apartment in Encinitas. Let's make it a plan for you to visit soon!
