As Nate has always said...we are The Notebook. He is absolutely the Noah to my Allie. We met in September 1992. We had a whirlwind romance. Full of love, arguments, passion and compete frustration. But most importantly undying, heart stopping, once in a lifetime true love. A love you never forget and never shake. We both went our separate ways for many years. Thinking of one another often...especially when a song came to mind.

We always compared our new relationships to the one we shared. Unfair as it may sound...once you’ve loved that deeply anything else fails in comparison.

As life took its twists and turns, somehow we remained friends.

Fast forward 27 years...and here we are. Nate says he always believed in his heart it would happen. I just smile and laugh...

but secretly I know he’s right. It’s hard work. Every single day. But when your heart loves someone so pure, so deep..the hard work is worth it. Our love has endured 27 years. Apparently Nate was right...
