Greetings!
The week after our wedding, we will be headed to Costa Rica for 10 days. Our first stop will be in the province of Guanacaste near the Ostional Wildlife Refuge. The Ostional Wildlife Refuge is on the Pacific Coast and is known for the mass nesting of Kemp's and Olive Ridley sea turtles. This is called an arribada. Thousands of sea turtles group together in the ocean before storming the beach to nest. The turtles do this in hopes that strength in numbers will lead to a successful nesting year. We planned our trip just before the new moon in October and are hoping to view this spectacular event. Next, we will be headed north to explore mountains, volcanoes, and the wildlife that live there. You can make our honeymoon even more special by contributing to our Costa Rican adventure!
