Greetings!
Dear friends and family,
We are honored to have you share in our special day. We're lucky to already have a home full of everything we need so your presence is gift enough!
To prevent any aneurisms on the part of the groom, we would love for you to forgo any physical gifts (Chuck says: please...no more dishes). If you would like to help us celebrate this new phase of life, we have some goals for the next year we would love to share with you!
Goal 1: Enjoy a Proper Honeymoon
Between establishing our careers, dealing with a global pandemic, buying a house, and Chuck deciding that it's reasonable to work 16 hours on a Sunday so that some person in Ohio has a perfectly balanced ledger (...that they won't look at until Thursday), vacations have been low on the priority list. We are very much looking forward to the opportunity to relax and celebrate being newlyweds! Sophie would prefer somewhere with white sand and turquoise water. Chuck would prefer somewhere as far away from Ohio as possible.
Goal 2: Build a Gazebo
As a homeowner over 30, Chuck is absolutely obsessed with his yard. He would love to build Sophie a proper gazebo so she has an outdoor space to comfortably sip a cocktail while he ensures every blade of grass is facing the same direction.
Goal 3: Park in the Garage
While our neighbors choose to decorate their front yard like a party supply store's "Season's Ending!" liquidation sale, Sophie's preferences for curb appeal lean decidedly more minimalist. She is asking Chuck to build a shed in which he can store his yard equipment (refer to point 2) and have space to park his car in the garage.
