We are honored to have you follow along our journey into creating our family.

Until the 1980’s lesbian couples were denied access to fertility clinics. Still today there is little reliable research on the actual experience of lesbians who use fertility services. Crazy, right? What we do know is generally fertility services such as IVF cost $10,000 to $20,000 per cycle. Fertility services are not included in most health insurance plans but lucky for us Amanda works for a great company with resources and programs that will assist after 6 months of us attempting IVF may it still be unsuccessful after that time. Currently only fourteen states mandate medical insurance coverage but even then coverage is based on infertility. Infertility is defined as an inability to conceive through heterosexual intercourse. We will be working with Accolade Health to consult our first steps on this journey. We have been saving, praying, and planning for this process together for when we feel the time is right.
