It all started as a night out, a friend invited me to attend a party. Once at the party I saw this beautiful lady. I wanted to say hello to her while at the party but I couldn't gather enough courage. I asked a few people around about some information. As I was still trying to gather my courage to approach her, I saw her leaving with her sister. I literally had to run so that I could catch up with her and her sister. I followed her to the car and tried to talk to her, but she ignored me and there she left without saying a word. I thought for a moment that I had lost her. A few weeks and months passed by without crossing path. The next time I saw her, she didn't recognize me, so I never bothered to make contact. So I lost her again. The third time, I never even tried. Mind you all these cases happened in different places. Amazing how sometimes things happen. Well, you may ask then how did we get here. Thanks to my brother Elias, for adding her to a whatsapp group. The moment he added her, I was like wait, this is the same lady I have been trying to get her contact information. I immediately called her out and reminded her of the first night I laid my eyes on her. Everything is history ,we here now. My story!
Her Story
On this night I was attending two parties, one in Durham the other in Raleigh. My sister and I decided we would go to Durham first then Raleigh. While leaving the party this guy ran up to our car asking us where the next party was. Being that I am not keen on strangers, me and my sister gave each other the eye and rushed to the car. He caught up and opened the door for her as we continued to carry on as though he didn’t exist. The next time I saw him he pulled his shades down to look at me then put them back on. I ducked thinking he spotted me but he didn’t approach me. Finally, after a weekend in DC I was added to this Whatsapp group. As new member etiquette, I greeted everyone saying hello to me including Paul. He called me out and said “you ran away from me.” I wasn’t sure who he was so I denied it. He then came to my private messenger and explained our previous encounters. I was embarrassed but still thought it was funny. A few months later we found ourselves at the Cleveland Experience in 2016. My friends sold me out and decided that Paul would be my Uber. Paul came as my knight and shining armor and I’ve been under his spell ever since. Distance knew nothing and North Carolina and Illinois seemed like neighboring states because his love is that BIG. Now here I am ready to say “I DO.” And to imagine he almost got away.
