Venue Location: House of Dirt is located in the middle of the Bishop Arts district in Dallas. This neighborhood is full of fun restaurants, shops, and bars. We definitely recommend you squeeze in some time to explore the area! Some of our favorites are Wild Detectives, which is a bookstore and bar with an outdoor area, Dirt Flowers, which is the venue's funky flower shop, and The Salty Donut, which has the best donuts in town.
Parking/Valet: The venue has extremely limited parking. We recommend utilizing a ridesharing service such as Uber or Lyft, or you can use one of the numerous valet stands that are set up in Bishop Arts. The nearest valet stand to the venue is less than 1 block - it's located in front of Dirt Flowers (Bishop and Seventh street).
Childcare recommendations: The venue we've chosen has a policy that children under 12 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times and "guests with unruly children will be asked to leave." The venue has also stated: "We do allow children and babies at the venue however we strongly discourage children under twelve at events." Please take this information into consideration when planning your time at the wedding, and reach out to Melissa if you'd like to discuss further. We will have a babysitter at the wedding for Juniper, which is an option for others as well.
Ceremony/Reception: Please note that the ceremony will be held outside. Dinner is inside, while the reception will be a mix of indoor/outdoor. The average April temperature in Dallas is between 50-80 degrees, so please plan accordingly.
