ST. Croix is the largest of the three virgins is still only 28 miles long and 7 miles wide , and considered one of the most beautiful resorts in the Caribbean. The island is located 65 miles southeast of Puerto Rico and boast varying landscapes with the east end dry with giant cactus and yucca clusters, the middle flat fertile land once the site of massive sugar cane plantations. The western end rises to a height of 1,096 feet on Blue Mountain culminating in a rain forest of giant Mahogany, Saman and Tibet trees. The beaches are unique , some quiet coves, some like cane bay , a world renowned dive site which is also where we are staying. They say snorkeling here is easier !! We will see!!
