Greetings!

Hey all! We are honored you'll come be with us in Asheville!

This is our final warning: please do not get us anything. Laura and I will turn into gremlins if given gifts after midnight. You've been warned.

We're also fortunate enough to have everything we need or want. We most value our experiences; you traveling to be with us at the wedding (and any other time) is all the gift we need. Please do not get us a gift; save your money for a plane ticket, hotel, round of drinks, a down payment on an Apple computer, or a vintage Radio Flyer wagon from your childhood. However, if your love language is "gift giving" we don't want to deprive you of your way to show us affection. We have set up an account on Honeyfund; it’s safe, secure, and easy. If you have any questions about the site or if you should get us something (you shouldn't), King Davion has been nice enough to take charge. His contact info is below.

A taxi passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question.

The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped inches from a shop window.

For a second, everything was quiet in the cab. Then the driver said, "Look, mate, don't ever do that again. You scared the living daylights out of me!"

The passenger apologized, saying, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much."

The driver replied, "Sorry, it's not really your fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver — I've been driving a funeral van for the last 25 years."

A linguistics professor was lecturing his class the other day. "In English," he said, "a double negative forms a positive. However, in some languages, such as Russian, a double negative remains a negative. But there isn't a single language, not one, in which a double positive can express a negative."

A voice from the back of the room said, "Yeah, right.

The Appliachian Mountains

Scratch Finland, unfortunately: there's too much COVID in America for Scandinavians to let us in. Luckily, there's a lot to do around Asheville that we've always wanted to try. We'll stay a few nights at the Grove Park Inn, then we'll head into the mountains to stay a few days in a tree house!
