Greetings!

Hi there!

We are very honored that you are coming to our actual wedding and we do not expect gifts, however we have been asked what we would like and we are hoping this somewhat different registry might make it a bit easier.

We have a home filled with many things collected over the years and we would much rather collect memories and experiences. As we have not been outside of SA's borders together, we'd love to tour through Europe in the first December that travel is a little less strained again before we settle down.

We have thus created a list of experiences, places and things we have always dreamed of doing and seeing. We find pleasure in being together and seeing pretty sights, so if you are so inclined, we hope that this provides you with an opportunity to give a gift or experience that suits your budget.

We left some of our wishlist items / daily expenses on here so that you can contribute to something that you would love to do yourself :) If you donate towards jellies / bakery visits / coffee / drinks / meals / experiences / accommodation or anything else not defined yet, we would appreciate a recommendation of where to spend your allocated budget - promise we'll do our best to honor this!

To give you an idea, we are planning on visiting Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Marseille, Lyon, Zerrmat, St Moritz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Prague, Wroclaw, Poznan, Berlin and Amsterdam. These have already changed a couple of times, but currently the planned route.

The Christmas markets are a main attraction, but we would love input if there are any particular gems that we need to visit.

As an interim plan and to do a sort of mini honeymoon after Zanzibar was canceled, we are however heading to St Lucia for 3 days after the wedding and have thrown a couple of experiences in there for a shorter term present.

Lots of love

Danelle & Jacques

Our Registry

Updates

Updated 4 years ago

Hi all,

Registry is up and running. Just busy sorting out a slight glitch on billing (shows USD on some areas, but bills correctly in ZAR) as well as trying to figure out why the PayPal / card payment option is not working. Have contacted support and will hopefully have it sorted soon.

In the meantime, you are most welcome to select (pledge) your gift and then just print it and then give a cash gift at the wedding.

Otherwise - would EFT details help?

Euro Trip

Our idea was to see the stunning December Christmas markets last year as a belated honeymoon before settling down (haha! Thanks Covid). Our honeyfund will still go towards this whenever it is possible again as we'd love to see as much as we can of this beautiful, history filled continent as soon as international travel is less strained again.

Our rough route will have us travel through wintertime (and hopefully snowy) Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Marseille, Lyon, Zerrmat, St Moritz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Prague, Wroclaw, Poland, Berlin and finally Amsterdam before returning to sunny South Africa.

In the interim we will also be doing a very quick 3-day honeymoon to St Lucia to just get a taste of getting away for now and taking a break after the wedding (original was to Zanzibar, but that was just not that possible last or this year with changing restrictions and flights). So if you'd like to contribute to St Lucia activities, we have just added this as a sooner option at this stage.
