Burnis and Nicole first met in high school, although their paths didn't frequently cross time would soon prove to be on their side. Over the years since high school they've interacted with one another and other classmates during reunions and class outings. Eventually their paths would lead them to each other where they have spent the last 12+ years together. They have raised 3 wonderful men as part of their blended family and continue to share life's journey together. Their union in marriage only strengthens their family and love for one another. Burnis proposed on September 4, 2021 at a small hideaway restaurant on the water called Skipper's Pier, just as the sun was setting. It was a truly romantic evening as he engaged the waitresses and live band to be in on the proposal. Nicole was truly shocked and speechless and the crowd of patrons cheered them on! The restaurant holds a significant meaning to them as it has been one of their romantic little getaway spots that only the two have shared together. They will honeymoon in Key Largo, FL at a remote private location. Pictures and information will follow their return. They thank you all for supporting their marriage and their family.
