Greetings!
Hello friends and family,
Oftentimes, when couples are setting up a registry they are looking for things to help build a home together. We already have everything we need and are instead hoping to pare down our "stuff" to mostly the essentials and put our time and money into travel (when it's safe again) and our community. If you would like to contribute to our future adventures, we'd love it. We also know that now is not an easy time for a lot of folks and appreciate your well-wishes no matter what.
When social gatherings are safe again we hope to celebrate with you!
With love,
Alice + Alex

Boulder, CO
More Information:
We had known for a while that we wanted to get married but weren't sure what would feel right during the pandemic. We bounced ideas back and forth, but struggled to get excited about a plan. Knowing that we could hike and marry ourselves in Colorado (no officiant or witnesses needed) made it the clear choice for us. On Sunday, November 1st, as we talked again about wedding plans, we checked the weather in Denver, thinking it would be too cold until spring. When we saw the 70 degree forecast for the early part of the week, we joked about just getting in the car and going for it. After checking the county clerk and recorder's appointment schedule online and finding one remaining appointment to apply for a marriage license for the next day, it started to feel perfect. We threw together bags, Alex booked us a hotel, I bought a dress, and we hopped in the car with our dog to drive from Kansas City to Denver. Everything came together quickly, and we were married two days later on November 3rd. It was a spontaneous decision ten months in the making and the most perfect wedding we could have imagined.
