Greetings!
Hello friends and family,
We wanted to surprise our soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Carter with a little something to celebrate their marriage. Unfortunately due to COVID, they had to cancel their destination wedding and instead will be saying their vows at the courthouse on March 12th, 2021. Please help us make their dream honeymoon happen as we send them off to Texas for their new beginning!
I asked Heather and Bo to send me a little something about their love story and wanted to share it here with you all....
Heather:
Bo and I surprisingly met on a dating app, Bumble of all places in 2017. I never thought those things worked, but he was the one guy that asked for my number and called right away. I had just gotten home from a concert in Huntington beach, I may have had a little too much to drink LOL. We talked for over an hour, about many things, personal things in fact and connected right away. We dated for about a month & realized we were in different phases of life and went our separate ways.
On July 1st 2019, I received a message on Facebook, “Hey Heather, long time no talk. How are you?” I remember thinking about him only weeks before that message, I was so excited to hear from him. We met up that week and have been inseparable ever since. Crazy to say… social media is what brought this “Southern Gentleman” to find love in this “California Girl”. I am forever thankful to Bumble, and happy as hell to have been able to delete it HAHA
We moved in together in March of 2020 and only 4 months later he planned a surprise 4th of July proposal with my closest family and friends. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Bo is so kind, loving and surprises me every day. One of my favorite moments was when he walked through the front door on my birthday with the 2nd love of my life, Layla. She has been such a blessing and we love our new little family.
The best part in all of our love story, is that I am going to be a stepmom to the most intelligent, loving and kind boy - Hudson Carter. He is the reason for our next chapter in life… TEXAS!!! We cannot wait to have a real home and start building our new lives together, all 4 of us!
Although our dream destination wedding was cancelled, we are so excited to make things official on March 12th at the Laguna Niguel Courthouse… We hope to plan a celebration sometime down the line with all of our loved ones. We are going to miss our CA family more than anything, but we know we will see everyone when we visit and hopefully, they visit us in Texas.
There are so many words to describe my love for Robert Harris Carter, Jr. (yes, that's his "real" name) haha. He is so compassionate, patient, smart, loving and above all SMOKING HOTT!!!!!!!!
I know for certain he was worth the wait... true love does exist, he is my forever!
Bo:
When I matched with Heather on a dating app back in September of 2017, I couldn't have imagined what was to come. I thought she was so gorgeous and sexy... little did I know I'd be shopping for her ring less than 4 years later! Immediately, there was something different about her. I called her quickly after receiving her phone number, which really seemed to surprise her. I knew that was a rookie move, Lol, but I already had a feeling that I wanted her to be more than another pen pal on a dating app. We hit it off right away, and the next month was full of me thinking of her and finding time to spend with her. I was still very new to the area, after having flown out to California from Arkansas, with no real intention of making my stay permanent. At the time, my car was 2,000 miles away and Heather was willing to drive 20 to 30 minutes, both ways, to see me often. I was more than happy to oblige her in her efforts, Lol. We did try to keep things casual but the connection was definitely there. However, after some time, we realized we were in different places in life. This lead to us going our separate ways, but she was never really out of my mind.
Almost 2 years later, I found myself reminiscing of the good times we had. I began to scroll through old photos on my phone. I found a few from our time dating, and I noticed myself with a huge grin on my face, as a reaction to the photos. I knew then that I needed to reach out and see how she was doing. AKA, see if she's in a committed relationship, Lol. Within a few days I went to see her, to see if the connection we shared was still present... It was, and we haven't looked back since.
Words can not express how blessed I am to have Heather in my life. She is the love of my life, the foundation of my happiness, and absolutely irreplaceable. She has embraced her new title as a step mother to my son, Hudson, and always shows excitement and joy when we speak about the upcoming role she will play in his life. As a matter of fact, he now speaks to her more than me! Lol She's outgoing, authentic, and inspires me to be a better man. For the first time in my life I understand what it means to truly love someone. We have a bond with each other built on respect and dedication... She simply is, and always has been, my person.
