Patagonia, Argentina

Our adventure begins by spending two days in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We will make our way to the Patagonian Andes by first traveling south to the Neuquen region of Argentina where we will meet up with a 4x4 vehicle that will take us into the remote town of Buta Mallin. From Buta Mallin we meet the gauchos from the Estancia and then embark on a 3 horseback ride into Estancia Ranquilco, where we will spend the next 8 days. Our time at Estancia Ranquilco will be spent enjoying day rides, riverside picnics and evenings sipping wine on the patio, with plenty of time for fishing, swimming or relaxing in the riverside sauna. We will also take part in a four day horse pack trip to a gorgeous alpine lake high in the Andes. After spending eight days in the country we will make our way to the town of San Martin de Los Andes. San Martin de Los Andes will be our base while we continue to explore the Patagonian Andes. The next eight days will be spent fishing both by foot along the river and by boat, mountain biking through the Valdivian jungle, relaxing in the hot springs along Lake Queni, hiking through the national park, kayaking the Lacar Lake and some time for leisure in the town. We will finish our adventure by spending two days in Buenos Aires before flying home.
