Greetings!

Hello friends and family,

We are so excited to share and celebrate our special day with you. Above all else, your presence at our wedding will be the best gift you can give us.

We are so fortunate to have built a life together over the last six years, and as such, we are not in want of many things for our home. After two years of Kay finishing nursing school followed immediately by a pandemic, the thing we truly desire above all else is the chance to travel together. It would mean so much to us to receive a gift towards our honeymoon, making our dream of visiting Japan become real. Please feel free to contact us via the link below if you need more info about how Honeyfund works.

Thanks for visiting and we can't wait to see you on our big day!

Japan

Japan, "the Land of the Rising Sun," has a rich cultural history and vibrant modern culture. Our travels will take us to the following locations:

Osaka - Japan's street food capitol is our first stop. Just a few of our options include fried octopus meatballs (takoyaki), savory cabbage pancakes (okonomiyaki), and fish shaped pastries stuffed with sweetened red beans (taiyaki). Osaka is also home to the world's largest aquarium and exciting night life.

Kyoto - After a few days of Osaka's fried food delights, Kyoto is the perfect place to detox - mentally and physically. Daily hikes in lush mountain forests will lead us from exploring temples and shrines to spectacular views of the city. We will meander cozy historical streets to find gardens, more incredible food, and even the Fushimi Sake District.

Tokyo - No trip to Japan would be complete without visiting the largest city on Earth. Here, we will visit cutting edge science and art museums, continue to eat our weight in Japanese cuisine, and spend our nights meandering tight alleys that look like they belong in a cyberpunk movie. Tokyo also boasts unique shopping, go-kart city tours (dressed as your favorite character of course), and historical sites such as the gravesite honoring the 47 Ronin.

Hakone - In the middle of our busy days in Tokyo, we will take a breather for a day or two and head to scenic Hakone on Lake Ashinoko. Here, we plan to do more hiking (and hopefully catch stunning views of Mt. Fuji), grab a drink at a 400-year-old teahouse, and spend many hours lounging in spas filled with red wine, green tea, and sake.
