Greetings!

Dear Guests,

Lauren and Mike are honored that you will share in their special day. Your presence is a gift. They're lucky to already have a home full of everything they need, so please enjoy browsing their wish list, where you can contribute funds to a dream getaway in Venice.

From the day they first met back in 2009, Lauren and Mike have been joking/fantasizing about taking the Orient Express to Venice, which is the height of luxury in their humble minds. With your help, they may just be able to make this madcap fantasy a reality. They would greatly appreciate any support that you can provide.

Lauren and Mike look forward to seeing you all at Congee Village and Housing Works on June 4th. Until then, we leave you with this hook by the progressive rock band, Renaissance, in their 1983 hit, Orient Express:

Start to move, feel closer now

I walk along the corridors of power

Orient Express, life to excess

There's so much to see, and it's waiting for me...

Love,

The Friends and Family of Lauren Nakamura and Mike Crane

The Orient Express to Venice

The newlyweds board the Orient-Express in Paris and make their way to Venice. All around them are people, of all classes, of all nationalities, of all ages. For three days these people, these strangers to one another, are brought together. They sleep and eat under one roof, they cannot get away from each other. At the end of three days they part, they go their several ways, never, perhaps, to see each other again. The newlyweds disembark at Santa Lucia station and continue onwards to Venice.
