Greetings!
As you may have heard by now, we're getting hitched! We found a quaint little Air B&B at a lake where a small group of Browns, Coxes, Fords and Sumralls will gather for a small ceremony and a home-cooked meal.
Many moons ago, we met at a speakeasy nestled in a dusty alleyway in Abilene, Texas. Although, we have a feeling we may have run into each other long before then. Here are a few of our theories:
The Circa 2000-2006 Theory: Emily played many soccer tournaments at the Town and Country soccer fields in Austin. And, Reilly's house on Black Oak was well within walking distance to the fields. He grew up riding bikes and spray painting things at the park and recalls when the "soccer people" used to come in and take over the complex.
The Circa 2006-2009 Theory: Reilly spent a lot of time in Frisco and Allen growing up. Emily played a metric ton of soccer in the Frisco area at Dr. Pepper (now Pizza hut?) park. Our appreciation for Chili's vast menu options began at a young age. So, we like to think we may have been chowing down on chips and their wonderfully-watery salsa at the same time in a North Dallas location during this timeframe.
The Circa 2013-2016 Theory: While Reilly was holed up in his cozy-yet-cave-like studio in the ACU art building, Emily was just a stones throw away in the comms building writing all of the papers. Literally, the two buildings were 25-ish feet apart from one another and the campus is relatively small already. So, there's no way we didn't cross paths at some point there.
Time and proximity are a funny thing. And, while we may never know if any of these theories are true, it's fun to imagine the kinds of conversations we may have had during our early run-ins.
We're so wildly lucky to know you and wish we could throw a fiesta for 500, but it just doesn't make sense given the state our world is in right now. So, we're playing it safe and we're keeping it small.
We already have a home full of everything we need (minus a puppy or two, shh don't tell Reilly I added this part) but we're planning a honeymoon for 2021! We don't have any solid plans in place (staying on-brand with 2020) but we have our sights set on either a place with mountains or a nice sandy beach. Either way, our plans will most certainly include good food, good drinks, some good walkin' and some good sight seein'.
We would be so grateful for your support of our soon-to-be-ironed-out travels.
Here, you can contribute funds to our honeymoon! (scroll to see the HoneyFund registry) Fear not, it’s safe, secure, and simple. If you have any questions or just want to send us a selfie, please don't hesitate to call or text us! Reilly 512-809-2186 Emily 817-716-2727
