New York City, Mexico and Central America

Our honeymoon kicks off in NYC when we arrive on 19 November 2019.

We plan to spend our first 7 nights away in West Village/SoHo and explore the local scene, visit Central Park, attend an obligatory Broadway show, and if we've got time in between sightseeing, perhaps a few local jazz bars.

Our journey will then take us to Central America where we will fly into Holbox (pronounced Holbosh), a small island north of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula and spend the next 5 nights in a beachside villa. No cars, no shoes - no worries!

From Holbox, we then make our way south to Caye Caulker, a small island off Belize which is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world.

From Caye Caulker, we then say goodbye to ocean shores and make our way across to the tropical rainforests of Tikal, Guatemala to spend a few nights amongst the ancient Mayan ruins.

From Tikal, we will fly to the ancient city of Antigua in the central highlands of Guatemala known for its preserved Spanish Baroque-influenced architecture as well as a number of ruins of colonial churches.

From Antigua we will bus to the beautiful lake Atitlan, a huge basin formed nearly 85,000 years ago as a result of volcanic activity. Ringed by steep, lush hills, it’s known for its Mayan villages and three surrounding volcanoes with striking pointed cones.

Our journey of a lifetime then comes to an end and we make our way back home via Houston, USA.
