Hello friends and family,
Our wedding day is approaching on June 18, 2021 at Painshill Park. Your presence for our special day will really be missed, but we count ourselves lucky to still be surrounded by our parents, siblings, nephews and niece!

We have been asked about our wedding registry and would be grateful for either a charity donation or a contribution to our honeymoon fund. For the donation, we ask that you contribute to either of our preferred charities and support projects that are close to both our hearts:
-APAF Senegal (ong-apaf.org), a Senegalese non-profit developing sustainable agroforestry systems across West Africa
-Qhubeka (qhubeka.org), a global charity that moves people forward with bicycles in South Africa and the continent

For our honeymoon, when our big plans for a diving trip to Indonesia were dashed in 2020, we’ve been dreaming of escaping there ever since to discover its ocean floors, hike its sacred mountains, say hello to its wild monkeys, and feast on nasi campur with a cold Bintang. Our sights are still set on making it there! In our ‘Registry’ below, you’ll find a number of experiences that you can contribute towards.

March 29, 2020: After meeting with the registry office to give our official notice, we head out for a quick venue visit at Painshill Park. A rare day of British sunshine and we’re absolutely blown away!

March 25, 2020: A quick trip to the UK to give official notice of our mariage, but we make time for a cake tasting of course! 3 flavours, 1 clear winner... Thank you to Andy and Carina for making the day so special amidst the ongoing pandemic.

February 9, 2020: We won’t let covid-19 get in the way! After much discussion, we’ve picked a date and location for June to coincide with the day Chantal’s parents got married 38 years ago. We hope the ‘new normal’ allows parents and siblings to join us, even though we know this would still be a challenge. We will of course miss many of our close friends and family, but know we’ll celebrate with everyone again soon.

October 17, 2020: A surprise engagement under the Red Sea! Even though we had designed the ring together in Brussels, Chantal was still taken by complete surprise, thinking Conrad was showing her a lost ring he found in the sand ????
