To Our Cherished Family and Friends,

We can't thank you all enough for the love, patience, and understanding we have received during our engagement. We have faced several challenges and have had to make many difficult decisions over the last 3 1/2 years. However, we strongly believe that weathering these storms together has made us stronger both individually and as a couple, and allowed us to build an incredibly strong foundation for our soon-to-be marriage. Your support has carried us through these hard times more than we can explain and we will forever be grateful.

It breaks our hearts that we will not be able to celebrate with everyone we love. It was devastating to make the decision to exclude people we deeply care for in order to make this day happen after losing 2 venues and having already pushed out our original date by an additional 7 months. The health and safety of our loved ones is both a concern and a priority to us, and we realized when we lost our second venue in February that a ceremony and reception at a venue with our original guest list size would likely not be possible for quite some time. Therefore, we made the difficult decision to have a much smaller outdoor ceremony and outdoor reception at the home of Sam's parents. We truly hope you understand that this was not personal in any way. Downsizing was necessary for us to get as close to our original wedding plan as we could without pushing it out even further, given the unpredictable and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to accommodate as much family as possible as well as our bridal party and vendors, all while adhering to current government mandates.

That all said, it is very important to us to provide a way for those we love to safely participate in and witness our wedding at The Burnham Residence in real time. If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to join the live stream of our ceremony on Zoom, which begins at 3:30 PM EST on May 15th, 2021. We ask for all microphones to be muted to provide the best experience possible for those tuning in.
