Our Engagement Story:
Connor and I had gone to visit Connor's family in Washington and the morning we were packing up to leave a ratchet strap snapped and sliced Connor's finger to the bone! I am sure you are wondering what this has to do with Connor proposing to me, but this plays a huge roll in our engagement story haha! We had decided to wrap his finger and get down the road since we had a full day of driving ahead of us. By the time we had gotten back to Rexburg, Connor's finger was hurting him pretty bad. The next morning, he went to urgent care, and they had done minimal treatment. Connor's finger was clearly infected and rapidly getting worse. He had decided to see if it could heal up on its own but at about 1 am I received a call from Connor asking me to take him to the ER. His infection was pretty serious, and the swelling was getting very bad. I quickly got up and hopped in my car to go pick up Connor! Once we got to the hospital, he was put on an IV and more seriously treated. The nurse asked Connor to "give your wife your jacket" (perhaps foreshadowing). We were in the hospital that night until 4 am! As we walked out of the ER and back to my car to go home after this long night Connor stopped me. He just gave me a long hug and said a few very sweet things to me. He also told me that he doesn't know any other girl that would do all I have done for him throughout our relationship and especially that night. He then told me that I am the girl he'd like to spend his life with *cue the tears* and got down on one knee and proposed to me there in the hospital parking lot at 4 am! (Connor’s finger was later operated on and is almost back to full motion and strength) We are so lucky to have each other, and I could not ask for a better husband than Connor!

Our Civil Marriage Story:
The morning of our wedding Connor got ready at his apartment, and I got ready at our new apartment. I then headed to my old apartment to put my wedding dress on and packed up the camera, our marriage license and a few other things for the ceremony. Connor picked me up in is big truck and we drove together to the courthouse in Idaho Falls:) We were supposed to meet the judge out on the front step of the courthouse, but she was about 10 minutes late! We had both built up lots of excitement by the time she finally came! Our ceremony was held outside with just the judge, Connor, me, and a photographer/witness. It was a very short and sweet ceremony. Connor and I wrote our own vows to each other which made this day extra special. After the ceremony we headed to the river in front of the Idaho Falls Temple and took a few pictures then realized we were both starving!! So, we hopped back into Connor's truck and headed to Chik-Fil-A. We walked right in all dressed up in our wedding attire! We were definitely a sight to see, and they gave us the "Big Day Discount" (Anything for free Chik-Fil-A amiright?) We than started to head over to Driggs where we would be staying in a cabin for a mini honey moon get away! On the way out of town we stopped at a small gas station, and both changed out of our wedding clothes and got back on the road. This is a memory we will both cherish for the rest of our lives:) Although it was quite unconventional, we are both so glad that we did it this way and that we now get to share our sealing day with you all!
Our Vows to Each Other:
Connor McKenzie Pierce, Today feels absolutely unreal. Connor you are the type of man I had hoped I could marry but was never sure if I could pull a guy like you. I feel so overly blessed to be able to spend my life with you. I love everything about you Connor, I love how sweet and understanding you are, I love that you would do anything for me. I love your blue eyes and your curly hair, I love your humor and how much you tease me. I love how accepting you are of me. I have never felt more myself than how I feel with you. I love how genuine you are and I love that you don’t make time for things that don’t matter, it makes me feel very special that I get to have such a large portion of your time. I love how you squish my face when you kiss my cheek and how you pretend to squeeze me super tight but do it super soft. I love how safe I feel with you, especially emotionally. I love how often you check in on me and how often you tell me you love me. I love that you make it a point to tell me to drive safe everytime I go. I love that you make me feel confident about my insecurities and I love that you accept all my flaws. I love you Connor Pierce and I promise to always show and express that love. I promise to always support and trust in you. I promise to communicate clearly and do my best to be understanding no matter the situation and I promise to always be there for you.
Baylee no name middle name soon to be Pierce. We stumbled upon each other with uncertainty if it would lead anywhere or what the future would bring. But here we are today. I love you. I always thought to myself I just need to find someone that’s goofy like me. Then I found you. You’ve accepted me for who I am faults and all. You bring so much happiness in my life. I feel so comfortable around you and you can make my bad days turn to good. It’s hard to put into words how much you mean to me and all that you’ve done for me. You’re my motivation to improve myself and go for my goals. I look forward to a future with you by my side forever and always. I want to be your person you know you can always count on. I love you.
