Greetings!
We are so glad you will share in our special day! Scroll down for all the info...
If you are able to join us in person, your presence is our gift, so we would love you to spend any spare cash you have on another drink at the bar, a new pair of dancing shoes, taxis or a hotel room (suggestions below) so you can really enjoy our wedding. Confetti is encouraged! Please go for biodegradable and hold onto it until the photographer says throw, this one is for a good cause: https://shop.cancerresearchuk.org/product/biodegradable-dried-wildflower-petal-confetti-0
We understand that many will be travelling a considerable distance. Parking at the church is limited, and the 35-minute journey to the reception venue is down narrow Devon lanes. Therefore, we be grateful for any car sharing and ask you to please leave plenty of time. The conveniences in the village hall (next to the church) will be available from 12 noon, but please do not park in the village hall car park.
The wedding reception is at an old Devon farm with amazing views over the moors. There is no dress code, except for shoes: please do not wear steel stilettos in the barn as they make deep pits in the beautiful oak floor. Normal high heels or plastic heel shields are fine, although bear in mind that much of the reception venue is outside with gravel, grass and cobbles. Sandals or even wellies may be more appropriate, and of course a comfortable change of shoes for the evening ceilidh is actively encouraged!
If you are feeling extremely generous, we have put together a list of gift ideas below, including contributions to causes close to our heart, experiences for us to enjoy in Devon, and a few physical objects we would love for our home. You can buy these directly from the vendor or through this website. If you would like to contribute towards our dream honeymoon to Japan, please scroll down to the very bottom of the page and enter any gift amount you'd like.
Finally, some of our guests are extremely clinically vulnerable, so please don't attend if you have symptoms of anything infectious, and ensure you have returned a negative LFT before you set off, and are up to date with your vaccinations (including COVID-19), so we can all confidently eat, drink and be merry!
Love David and Hannah x
P.S. Don't forget to let us know whether you're coming at www.coljan.co.uk/rsvp with the password yoshi22 as soon as you can.
