Hey Y'all!

Some of you know the story of how we met but in case you haven't (or want to hear it again) check it out below!

Jillian was serving on a Tuesday night at the Slippery Mermaid and Jesse came in to eat dinner with his friends Brandon and Sara. Jillian requested to take the table once they were sat because Jesse was the "nice regular". After the meal, Jillian brought the check with "thank you :)" written on it. After Jesse and his friends left, Jillian noticed that Jesse left "no, thank you :)" on the check. Ricki, the manager of the sushi bar reached out to Jesse and told him that Jillian had a crush on him and to invite him to their Game of Thrones watch party. Jesse went and saw Jillian there, but Jillian's shyness got the best of her and they only spoke about 3 whole words to each other. After this they began to talk back and forth in a casual manner. Jesse finally got up the courage after some time to ask Jillian to dinner to which she shut down (I know guys, heartbreaking). That didn't discourage Jesse, and they continued to talk almost daily. Jesse eventually asked again to which Jillian said no once more. But the third time was the charm and after he asked AGAIN she finally agreed to dinner. After their first date they hit it off so well that they are still together today! In 2020 they moved in together and acquainted Blue, the dog, and Pants, the cat, together. In 2021 they relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee to both pursue their careers. They visited Yosemite National Park in October 2021 and that is where Jesse finally popped the question. Jillian and Jesse plan to elope in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains with their parents and grandparents. There will be a reception closer to home at a later date that everyone can join in celebrating the newly weds.
