We are beyond excited to be planning our honeymoon to the beautiful country of South Africa! We're eager to explore the country and take in the amazing sights, as well as immerse ourselves in the culture that Cape Town and Johannesburg have to offer.
While in Cape Town, Christopher will be able to fulfill his lifelong dream to get up close and personal with penguins at Boulder Beach Penguin Sanctuary, and Hannah will try her hardest to stop him from trying to take one home. Cape Town will provide a quaint and picturesque start to our honeymoon where walking tours, a visit to District Six Museum, shopping local vendors, and lots of exploring will take place. The larger city of Johannesburg offers a different experience, with numerous museums, galleries, restaurants and shopping to keep us busy. We'll also visit Satyagraha House- Mahatma Gandhi's home!
And of course, a trip to South Africa would not be complete without a safari! We'll stay at a big game reserve for 3 days, take morning and evening game drives and (hopefully!) observe the magnificent animals that reside there. During our stay at the reserve we will be joined by other safari goers, as well as locals, for after-drive dinners. In between our drives we will get to relax and soak in the beauty of Africa.
Visiting this amazing country has been on the top of both our bucket lists and we can not wait to start our adventure. Thank you so much for helping us make this dream a reality!
