Switzerland

After our wedding in Bristol, England we are off to Switzerland! Our first stop is Lugano, a small subtropical town, deeply influenced by its Swiss-Mediterrian mix of cultures. This mix is reflected in its architecture and cuisine. The city stands on the northern shore of glacial Lake Lugano and is surrounded by mountains. We cannot wait to roam their cobblestone streets! Once we've had our fair share of mild days, eating Italian food and exploring their unique museums, we're hopping on a train to the completely secluded, carless town of Zermatt. Zermatt sits at the foot of the Matterhorn and boast a beautiful panoramic mountain scape, covered in blankets of snow that time of year. Whether curing up fireside with a cup of hot chocolate, walking around the 500-year-old marketplace, enjoying award-winning gastronomy, or tobogganing down a mountainside, this place is winter wonderland we cannot wait to experience! To end our journey, we will spend time exploring where the new meets the old in Zurich. This desination was settled over 2,000 years ago and acknowledges its rich history with its late Roman fortresses, narrow streets, and romantic squares sprinkled around Old Town, surrounding the lake.

This is truly a trip of a lifetime and we feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to explore Switzerland's natural beauty and dynamic culture.
