Update 4/29/2020:
To anyone and everyone who is curious about our Honeymoon, we have rebooked it for the second time for September. We are crossing our fingers that things will be back to normal enough so that we can still go this year. Regardless of timing we do still intend on eventually getting to Disney World. With your help we will be able to.

Our Proposal Story
On Thursday the 21st, a day before our anniversary, Derek brought home a bouquet as an anniversary present for me. They were white roses with white lilies and green hydrangeas. He had also secretly bought one dozen white roses and one dozen red roses and hid them in the storage unit on our balcony. He knew he wanted to propose on our 7th anniversary but wanted it to be a surprise. He also knew that I wanted it private and not a huge public ordeal. He had to work on the 22nd so knew he had to propose either after work and set the roses up on the balcony, or before work and somehow get me up out of bed without a fight.
He figured only one thing would work. He barged into the bedroom and dramatically belted out “Babe! Babe, wake up! There’s something wrong with Loki!” then closed the door behind him. He says that he has never seen me get out of bed more quickly. I went out into the living room and was frantically looking at Loki’s cage. Being tired, startled, and worried as hell it took me a second to realize the glow coming from the TV in the living room. I’m still focused on Loki’s cage when I say “Are you kidding--“
I look over at him and he had the Netflix Birchwood Fireplace playing behind him while he was standing in a ring of roses scattered on the floor. And I just go “Oh.” And stare at him for a second and go “can I get dressed and pee first?” I’m not a morning person, what can I say?
I go back into the living room and he tells me that I’m his best friend, he is so thankful that I’ve been so patient with him while he had been a slow boat to China, and that he’s so glad I have stuck it out because he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and asked “Nicole Elizabeth Patterson, will you marry me?” And then proceeds to tell me that he was sorry that my ring wasn’t ready yet, the custom order wouldn’t be ready until May, even though he bought it in early February. He took some of my “for fun rings” and asked me what one I would like to wear in the mean time. I picked the little silicone one that I bought for when we are married and I don’t want to wear my ring (like when working out or swimming). Then he, still on one knee, was all “you still didn’t answer my question.” I forgot to tell him yes! I was too busy being flabbergasted and picking what ring I would wear in the mean time. So I said yes.
