Hi everyone!

First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding weekend celebration is the greatest gift for which we could ask! The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

We are fortunate to have a lot of the "essential" home items a newly married couple needs. In fact, we find ourselves trying very hard to avoid collecting "stuff" because our tiny studio apartment can only hold so much stuff! So, when we ask for no gifts, we really mean it! :) You celebrating with us on our special weekend would be the greatest gift you can give.

However, we also know that some individuals cannot resist giving gifts. So, we wanted to provide a chance for you to do so in a way that would be quite helpful to us! Instead of gifting us with something that won't fit in our studio (and would be rather hard to travel with!), help send us on our honeymoon! Unlike traditional wedding gifts, the memories from this honeymoon will last forever.

We'll be spending our honeymoon exploring the Shenandoah mountain region in Virginia. We both love adventuring and thought this would a great way to spend this time together. We fly out from Traverse City straight to Charlottesville, Virginia the day after we say "I do." We will pack in lots of hiking on the Appalachian trail and viewing – and hopefully swimming – in some waterfalls! We are also super thrilled to finally learn rock climbing from experts so that we can do it on our own in the future. We'll have some yummy dinners and picnics. We can even canoe, take Indian cooking lessons, and have a private movie screening at our "Eco Spa Retreat" resort. We might just even go horseback-riding. We are really thrilled and looking forward to this adventure together.

We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and share some of our memories with you in your much-deserved thank you note!
