Our wedding ceremony & reception are taking place at "Labyrinth Lake Lodge" in Gwynne, Alberta TOC 1L1. It is a beautiful 30 acre rural property located in the Leduc countryside surrounded by lakes, trees, and Canadian wildlife. It is approximately 1 hour away from Edmonton. If you type "Labyrinth Lake Lodge" into your GPS or google maps it will take you right there.
We have the property booked for the entire weekend so guests are welcome to arrive on Friday August 18, 2017 and depart Sunday August 20, 2017. The actual wedding date will take place Saturday August 19, 2017 at 4:00 pm. This leaves time for guests who would like to arrive on Saturday before the ceremony.
There are a variety of accommodations available for our guests. It is highly recommended that you stay overnight at the venue in order to promote a safe stay after a night of celebrating as well as there is no taxi service available out there. The following are some options:
1. Camping ($30/night): our guests can set up a tent at the venue and camp with us! Just think, after a night of celebrating you can just walk a few steps to your tent to crash for the night. That's what we'll be doing! There are nicely groomed spots for lots of tents to the South of the houses and reception area. That is a nice walking distance to all the happenings during the weekend. Campers will have use of the portable toilets.
2. Motor Homes & Trailers ($30/night): our guests are welcome to bring their RV or trailer and park right at the venue with the tents. There are no designated RV park hook ups but they do have electrical outlets on the side of the reception venue and one on the side of the cabin. You can run extension cords from your unit to one of these outlets.
3. Houses on site: there are two houses that hold 8 people each (16 in total). Please contact us to check availability.
House #1: North Lodge: Sleeps 8. Two bedrooms with a queen bed in each, and a loft with three singles beds. Single beds can be pushed together. Bedding and towels suppled.
House #2: South Lodge: Sleeps 8. Two bedrooms with a queen bed in each, and a loft with three singles beds. Single beds can be pushed together. Bedding and towels suppled.
4. The closest hotels are 30 minutes away in Leduc, Alberta. Some of our guests will be staying at the Executive Royal Hotel near the Edmonton airport.
This is a pet friendly party, so feel free to bring your fur babies - there's tons of room for them to run around the property.
We are huge fans of music so also feel free to bring your guitars! There will be lots of opportunities to play tunes by the bonfire.
