Hi friends and fam,

You may have guessed by now that I(Karyn) really like having Ben around. You also may know, or have suspected, that he's not really Californian.

What you may not know is how overwhelming the process of keeping him here in his San Diego home seems, looking at it from where we stand now. After our wedding, we've got a long few years of paperwork and legal fees ahead to make sure we navigate our country's complicated immigration system correctly and well.

We're lucky enough to have an incredible lawyer on our side, but it isn't going to be easy, or easy to afford. In place of wedding gifts or a honeymoon, we'd love your help making this place a more permanent home for our Ben. Every dollar of this fund will go directly to costs related to his staying right here.
