We at Duwara Consciousness Foundation are grateful you have taken an interest in this critical project. San Diego is home to approximately 40,000 people experiencing homelessness, and hygiene is a critical issue for many of them. Without proper hygiene, we threaten our own health and the health of others around us; we diminish our chances of landing a job and bettering our circumstances; and we hinder self dignity and socialization at large.

In tandem with our fully operational hot meal food trailer, DCF's Shower Trailer Project is designed to service our city's homeless as a reliable one stop shop for food security, hygiene support and community cultivation. Our shower trailer is designed and fully equipped with 7 shower stalls, (one ADA compliant), and an industrial washer and drier, allowing those who shower to put on clean clothing afterwards and head off feeling fresh. Little details like built-in blue tooth speakers help create the welcoming and humanizing environment we all need to walk our path with pride.

We have created this platform knowing that collectively, we can all make a difference for the streets of San Diego. From soap to infrastructure, from mirrors to water heaters— there are so many ways your contribution will be an integral part of this project.
