Early in their relationship, Darren and Daniel bonded over their love of dogs, wine and Debbie Gibson, and the couple incorporates all three any chance they get.

Darren is a Long Island native and comic book publisher who spent most of his career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Portland, Daniel is a classically trained pianist and former executive director of a symphony. Together, they are a tour de force of nonstop adventures, and friends say they are one of the cutest engaged gay couples in the Pacific Northwest.

Their wedding date coincides with another highly anticipated event in their life: Debbie Gibson’s tour stop in Portland. "We should ask Debbie to walk us down the aisle," Daniel recently joked to Darren over a glass of chardonnay. Giggles between the two quickly turned to knowing stares as the couple saw an opportunity to realize a dream. Darren grabbed his phone and sent Debbie an Instagram message asking if she would play a role in their ceremony. Debbie enthusiastically agreed if her schedule permits.

A year into their adventures together, Daniel and Darren have decided to dedicate their love in front of family, friends and a beloved pop star. They are looking forward to seeing everyone on June 2!
