Greetings!
OUR STORY
Amberly & Sebastian went to Smithson Valley High School, but never crossed paths until 2014 when they went on their very first date. That first date to Jacob's well was a disaster according to Amberly. Sebastian was trying to impress Amberly with his new ride, a stick shift Mazda that he did not know how to drive, they almost ran out of gas and to make matters worse, Sebastian broke his phone. Needless to say, Amberly did not return Sebastians calls for a few months after.
Fast forward to 2015 and they cross paths once again. But this time, and Sebastian's version ... he claims Amberly DM'ed him to make up for that first date. Our second date was nothing but traditional, dinner and a movie. And well, the rest is history.
We look back now with our family and friends & laugh about "our first date" as anything that could have gone bad, went REALLY bad. Looking back at the last 5 years, our relationship continues to be full of adventures filled with lots of love and laughter.
Fast forward to July 11, 2020 - that is the day where we each profess our love in front of our family and friends. We hope you will join us in our Celebration of Marriage.
THE PROPOSAL
After requesting for Amberly's hand in marriage, and with the approval of her WHOLE family. No joke, not only did I have to ask her Dad for her hand in marriage, I had to ask her Mom, her sister as well as Nana & Papoose.
With her family's blessings it was time to plan the proposal. I knew it was going to have to be in front of her whole family, and it was equally important to have my family there as well.
With a few suggestions from family members, I finally decided that April 20, 2019 would be the day. She had been to the The Oasis on Lake Travis with her family before and said she had loved the views, so I decided that would be a perfect spot. The plan was that I was spending the day with my family, and would meet up with hers for dinner that evening at The Oasis.
As they were getting ready for dinner, her mom & sister became very opinionated in what she was wearing, her make-up etc.. Amberly just didn't understand why all that mattered, after all we were "just going to dinner."
My family arrived at The Oasis before the sunset, all while I patiently waited for my future fiancé. Her family arrived literally minutes before sunset, only to rush to get her to the spot I was waiting for her at. I have never been so nervous, with my heart racing ... I finally see her, and we immediately make eye contact. As she approached the gazebo where I was waiting for her we both greeted each other with tears in our eyes. It was then in front of our families that I kneeled to one knee and asked Amberly to spend the rest of her life with me. My plan to propose to her over the beautiful sunset on Lake Travis was a success. She said yes!
We hope to see you on July 11, 2020!
