Greetings!
Hello friends and family,
As you may know, traveling abroad is expensive, and studying abroad is even more so! However, this is a dream of mine (as well as a requirement for my degree) and something I want to pursue next summer, in 2017.
While I will be saving up for this trip on my own through hard work and scholarship applications, I wanted to set up a way for those interested in contributing to not only help out but also see what exactly they're contributing to!
Here is a breakdown of what the estimates are fir the expenses for a Summer Study Abroad:
Non-Refundable Application Charge: $350
Non-Refundable Program Deposit: $500
NC State Program Cost: $4,800
* The program cost includes: tuition, international accident/health insurance coverage, accommodations in Prague, excursions within the Czech Republic relevant to the program, cultural events, orientation materials, a map and phrase book, wi-fi at the Institute, visits to museums and galleries, in-city travel passes.
The program costs do not include: international airfare, meals, supplies and personal expenses, textbooks and studio supplies, and more.
These cost estimates can be seen in the breakdown below:
International Airfare: $1,600
Meals: $750
Textbook and Supplies: $100
Personal Expenses: $350
Global EuRail Pass: $900
* This is for a 1st class EuRail pass which will allow me to travel by train, 15 days within 2 months. This means I can hop on over to (virtually) any other country within the EU!
Any extra money will go towards helping me backpack across Europe after the program is over (which will include accommodation expenses, food expenses, et cetera)!
If you'd like to contribute, I have set up a few different options to do so, and I thank you endlessly and immensely for your help and graciousness and love.
