Hello there Friends & Family,

James and I are so happy to tell you that we got married on Thursday, April 30th! We eloped actually. Here's the story...

We've been engaged since our road trip to Miami a couple years ago. Since then it never seemed the right time to plan a wedding or even just a party. We've had a whirlwind 5 year romance living together in Brooklyn, then upstate in Kingston, NY and then across the country to settle in Palm Springs.

We've traveled all over the US together and all over the world in our individual lives. However, we both agree that Palm Springs, CA is where we want to be, together for the rest of our lives.

So, six weeks into lockdown, we decided to apply for our marriage license. (What else was there to do!). To our surprise they called us a couple days later saying the even though City Hall was currently closed they would be performing ceremonies at the box office of the Regal Movie Theater. Perfect, we thought!

James and I love the movies and would go all the time before quarantine. Getting married at the theater was so much fun and it added to an already surreal time in all our lives. We'll remember it and tell the story far more than if we just got married in a City Hall courthouse.

We plan on having a dinner party to celebrate officially in the fall, so stay tuned. We're also setting time aside this fall to honeymoon in Napa Valley. Let's hope the whole world will be safe and reopened by then.

During this time staying home we've learned what is most important. It's the simple things in life... Delicious food, great friends, loving family, good health and even just going to the movies.
