We're getting married! Since we are both adults with plenty of furnishings, appliances, and other stuff couples typically register for, we decided to reach out to friends and family to help us fund our honeymoon instead.

We have never taken an actual vacation together. Sure, there have been trips; but they've always taken place on days we had off anyway and we weren't staying together as a married couple!

In fact, it's been years since either of us have had a vacation at all. So this is something we've been really needing for quite some time.

We would really like to leave the United States for our honeymoon. There's a lot of the world that we want to see together, but haven't been able to afford, either temporally or financially.

Our first choice for a honeymoon destination is Ireland. We've done the research and it looks as if a typical 2-week trip will cost us about $7000. That's the plane tickets, hotel, and car rental. But that doesn't cover daily expenses like food and gas, and it basically assumes we're spending the entire time in our hotel room. We want to see things!

This is the first time we've set something like this up, and we don't want to be presumptuous about asking for gifts. But we also don't want to underestimate your generosity! If we end up going well over what we asked for, we will adjust our plans accordingly, and we promise to be transparent about where your gift goes.
