Joe and I have not been out of the country since we were both in are mid-twenties. Neither of us have been past the Amsterdam airport, and recently we have thought that when we are empty-nesters we will live a year or more in Europe, where we think Amsterdam would be an ideal setting for our lifestyle. In addition to Amsterdam, Becky has a dream of seeing Venice before it is completely underwater, to see all the beautiful art she studied in undergrad, while Joe would like to visit Vicenza (outside of Venice) to show Becky where he was stationed for 4 of his 6 years in the 173rd Airborne.
