My name is João and I am the Groom's big brother. This here is a surprise that I am working on.

I decided to start this crowdfunding campaign because I find this couple's story worth spreading and definitely worth supporting. It is a rare case of pure love in the 21st century!

This young couple met at the age of 14 in 2007 and fell in love right away! They are each other's first and only love!

They passed high school and survived the long distance during the college years (visiting each other every possible weekend). Even separated they were inseparable, always on the phone or exchanging love messages. When they were together they could not keep themselves from hugs, kisses, sweet talk and those looks (you know those in love loving looks). Year after year they would not change a bit. Ten long and loved years later, with the same passion, even more romantic and the same sparkling look they finally got conditions to get married (our mother and grandmother gathered all efforts to fund their dream marriage ceremony). Last summer, on the hottest day of the year (and also of the last decades), on August 4th, they exchanged vows and rings. It was a truly magical day to which I was honored to attend.

Sadly, they are living in a (more or less) 25m2 apartment in Porto; he works for a management department in Sonae with a salary little above the minimum; she works as an architect, believe it or not, for the minimum salary (if not less) - but she is happy by doing what she loves. The point is, this beloved and in love amazing couple, who stayed together a decade, supporting each other through difficult times (and my brother's knees surgeries were just one of many), studied hard during several years to graduate from their degrees and have a good position (she was even awarded as the best student of her course), they work 8 to 10 hours a day sometimes even on weekends, they have lots of responsibilities and turns out they are not getting what they should out from society. Any decent apartment in the city costs more than a minimum salary; to buy one, one need more than a couple hundred thousand (plus taxes). I don't feel it is fair! Words wont put food on the table or give them a non-claustrophobic home to live. They are living like this for 4 years now. It is just not fair!

I believe that more people share my vision and that together we can fund a better life start for these two: I want to give them some money for them to buy or build a new home.

Now, for their coming first anniversary, I decided it was my turn to do something big for them, something special for a special couple, something special like a crowdfunding campaign!
