FAQs:

1) What is the parking situation?

The wedding is at the Casa del Rey Moro Garden location in Balboa Park, San Diego. There is free parking, but it might require some walking to get from the lot to the event site. Please factor in plenty of extra time to park and arrive at the site! Here is a link to the parking options at Balboa Park: https://www.balboapark.org/plan/parking

2) If I don't RSVP can I still come?

Due to COVID, we absolutely need RSVPs to present to the venue as soon as possible. Please RSVP! We want you to come! Anyone who does not formally (no text, social network messages: the response must be mailed) RSVP by the date on the invitation cannot be counted in the final head count and will not have a place to sit. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can make it! We want everyone provided for, and need this information for the venue, caterer, and the restaurant.

3) Are masks required?

They are required for the ceremony and while dancing, but not while seated at the tables. I'll update everyone on this website if things change!

4) What are the entrée options?

There will be a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres, a first course, an entrée, and cake of course!
The entrée choices are lemon and kaffir lime marinate chicken breast (with asparagus, roasted marble potatoes, fried capers, and lemon beurre rosé), red wine braised boneless beef short ribs (with potato purée, roasted root vegetables, cipollini onion, and au jus), or for vegetarians a spinach, ricotta, tomato, asparagus and corn purée ravioli. There is also a kid's meal option with a fresh fruit bowl, chicken fingers, and French fries.
If you have any food allergies, please call either Megen or Teri as soon as possible!

5) How long is each party of the wedding?

The ceremony begins at 3:00 PM in the Casa del Rey Moro Gardens. The cocktail reception is from 3:30 to 4:30 in the Fountain Courtyard, and the dinner and dancing reception is from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM in the Grand Ballroom. The Fountain Courtyard and Grand Ballroom will both be open during the reception! Please arrive early to factor in parking, walking to the venue, and seating. Please also bring your dancing shoes!

6) Is there anything for kids to do at the wedding?

Yes! There will be individualized gift bags with toys and games for the kids! They will be waiting as a fun surprise for them in the ballroom during the reception <3. There will be lots of fun things to play with! Plus, dancing, of course! :-)

7) What's the best way to get to the wedding location?

8) I'm planning on staying in San Diego for a couple of days. Do you have any recommendations on things to do?

Totally! The San Diego Zoo is fun and a wonderful place to visit. I also recommend visiting the Cabrillo National Monument, exploring some of the museums in Balboa Park, visiting Old Town San Diego, and checking out the Maritime Museum in the San Diego harbor. A morning on the beach is also a must!
