In October 2011, Sean and Luba met in college at the University of California, Berkeley. They were introduced by a mutual friend, hit it off and talked for hours. At the end of the night, Sean asked for Luba's phone number; she reluctantly said no, and requested that he add her on Facebook instead. Sean was slightly upset, thinking they had hit it off, and chose to play hard to get and not add Luba as a friend. Luba could not stop thinking about Sean the following day. It was the same for Sean; their encounter was extraordinary, the connection was a rarity and the dialogue was exciting! After Luba took her last mid-term the next day, she monitored Facebook, but was disappointed to see that Sean had not added her as a friend. Luba found a way to contact Sean that evening (thank you, Nick Carter!) and called him. :) After a brief discussion, he invited her on their first date, site seeing at Grizzly Peak and the rest is history.
